Olwen Bourke designs and makes, bespoke, made to measure occasion wear and bridal couture. With over a decade of experience designing one-off dresses for celebrities, theatre, tv, ballet and opera, she launched her fashion label in 2012 and has since become one of the most exciting emerging names in the evening wear and bridal industry. Based in east London, she offers a friendly, one to one service, working closely with clients to create their ultimate dream dress.
The bespoke service offers a choice of unique, hand crafted dresses from Olwen's fashion and bridal ranges. Dresses are made to measure to ensure the perfect fit and can be adapted to suit individual tastes. This process takes 1 – 3 months and prices start at £350.

Olwen graduated from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin in 2002 with a first class honours degree in fashion design and the Enterprise Ireland and ICATA Designer of the Year award. She moved to London and became a couture dance dress designer, specialising in one-off dresses for the BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing, ITV’s Dancing on Ice and many international dancers and performers. She went on to work on costumes for ballet and opera at the Royal Opera House, and later designed evening, cocktail and occasion wear for fashion houses in London and Paris. Since 2007 she has worked closely with the creative director of Vidal Sassoon, designing, illustrating and creating showpieces for Sassoon's international shows and campaigns.
In 2012 Bourke launched her own occasion wear label with the Paradise Lost collection, which was made entirely from end of role fabrics and recycled leather. Conscious of the abundance of textile waste produced in the UK she wanted to explore the potential of creating beautiful, luxury garments from so called "waste" material. This was followed by the Waters and the Wild collection in 2013, which was made predominantly from recycled silk bridesmaid dresses and vintage fabrics.
Responding to a growing demand for her bespoke designs, Olwen expanded into wedding dresses and in 2014 she launched the Aislinn bridal collection, which won the Highly Commended award at Bridal NEXT! London.
